Abstract

The article is devoted to a comprehensive theoretical, methodological and practical study of the problem of the emergence and overcoming of communicative barriers in the conditions of the modern digital educational space. The specifics of distance learning as an important form of organizing the educational process in higher education institutions (HEIs), which has become relevant under the influence of global challenges and the rapid development of information and communication technologies, are analyzed. After analyzing scientific sources and empirical data, the essence, classification and determinants of the formation of communicative barriers that arise between subjects of learning in a virtual environment are determined. Particular attention is paid to psychological, sociocultural, technical, interactional and didactic obstacles that reduce the quality of information perception, distort feedback and level the motivation of higher education applicants [1; 3; 7].

Within the framework of the study, a set of innovative technologies aimed at minimizing and overcoming communication difficulties was scientifically substantiated, developed and practically tested. The feasibility of integrating elements of gamification, immersive technologies (virtual and augmented reality), interactive digital whiteboards, as well as specialized platforms for teamwork that stimulate active group dynamics and provide the effect of presence into the educational process was substantiated [13; 16]. The role of artificial intelligence (AI) in personalizing the learning trajectory and automating primary feedback is separately highlighted, which allows reducing the psychological stress of higher education applicants and overcoming the fear of public self-expression in an online format.

The results of the pedagogical experiment demonstrated the high effectiveness of the implementation of the proposed innovative solutions. In particular, an increase in the level of involvement of higher education applicants in discussions, an increase in success rates, an improvement in the psycho-emotional climate in academic groups, and the formation of a high level of digital communicative competence in applicants and teachers were recorded. It is proven that successfully overcoming communicative barriers affects the overall effectiveness of distance learning and ensures the comprehensive development of the personality of the future specialist during professional training. The materials of the article are of practical importance for teachers, methodologists, and developers of distance courses.

The purpose of the article is the theoretical justification, development and experimental verification of the effectiveness of a set of innovative technologies aimed at overcoming communicative barriers between subjects of the educational process in conditions of distance learning in higher education institutions.

Methods. To achieve the set goal and solve the declared tasks, a set of interrelated research methods was used:

  1. Theoretical methods: analysis, synthesis and generalization of scientific and pedagogical, psychological and methodological literature to determine the state of knowledge of the problem and clarify the essence and classification of communicative barriers; categorical and systemic analysis to substantiate the potential of innovative technologies (gamification, IT platforms, AI) as a means of overcoming the difficulties of online interaction; modeling for designing methodological recommendations and integrating digital tools into the educational process.
  2. Empirical methods: diagnostic methods (questionnaires, testing, interviews) to identify the real state of student engagement and record specific communication difficulties (psychological, technical, etc.) at the initial stage; pedagogical observation of the behavior, dynamics of work and activity of higher education students in a virtual environment during lectures and seminars; pedagogical experiment for practical testing and verification of the effectiveness of the developed set of innovative technologies in the educational process).
  3. Methods of mathematical statistics (statistical analysis and quantitative data processing to compare the results of the experiment before and after the implementation of innovations, assess the dynamics of student success and prove the reliability of the results obtained).

Conclusions. The results of the study showed that participants in the educational process consider overcoming communication barriers to be one of the most important conditions for successful interaction in the digital environment, an indicator of the effectiveness of distance learning as a modern format of education, and also believe that innovative technologies (gamification, immersive tools, AI) have many advantages, but their use requires careful preparation, systematic implementation and consideration of possible technical and psychological shortcomings.
