Abrosd experience of social reintegration veterans of military service

The article reveals the essence of social reintegration of veterans of the Russian-Ukrainian war, the role of this process in establishing normal life activities of persons who took part in hostilities, after returning to civilian society. The experience of social work with ex-servicemen and their families in a number of European countries and the USA was analyzed. The purpose of the article is to analyze the foreign experience of social reintegration of veterans of military service into civil society and to substantiate the possibilities of using its best examples in Ukraine. The methodological basis of the research was system and activity approaches, in the implementation of which theoretical and empirical methods of scientific knowledge (analysis, synthesis, analogy, forecasting, etc.) were applied, which made it possible to obtain the following results: to analyze the foreign experience of social reintegration of veterans of military service, identify the best examples of establishing normal life activities of persons who took part in hostilities after their return to civil society and predict the possibilities of implementing this experience in Ukraine. It is emphasized that civil society and institutional subjects should adapt to this group as an important party interested in positive changes in society. It is noted that the social reintegration of veterans into civil society in each country has its own characteristics. The experience of social work with veterans is characterized. On the basis of the analysis of foreign experience of social work with veterans of military service, ways to optimize this process in Ukraine are substantiated. The conclusions indicate that the social reintegration of veterans/war veterans is a complex problem that needs immediate rethinking and solutions. Such promising areas of future research as: mechanisms of social reintegration of male and female veterans, the role of a specialist in accompanying war veterans and demobilized persons in the process of their reintegration into civil society have been determined.
