Abstract

The rapid developent of digital technologies in the modern world creates new prospects for the introduction of various innovative solutions, in particular immersive technologies, into the educational process. These technologies can contribute to increasing the involvement of learners in learning and improving their learning outcomes. The purpose of this article is to study the effect of virtual and augmented reality technologies on increasing the motivation to study future pedagogical specialists. To achieve the goal, the methods of comparative analysis and theoretical generalization were used. The results of the study revealed that motivation is a key factor in successful training and professional development of future specialists. In the conditions of distance learning, which has become one of the main forms of education in Ukraine under martial law, the issue of motivation of all participants in the educational process has become particularly relevant. Immersive technologies contribute to the creation of an effective, exciting and personalized educational environment that can significantly increase the motivation of future teachers. The defining characteristics of all immersive learning technologies are given. Technologies of virtual and augmented reality, which have become powerful tools capable of radically changing the educational process, are characterized. The use of these technologies contributes to a deeper understanding of complex concepts, the establishment of cross-curricular connections and the integration of different learning methods. Despite the fact that augmented and virtual reality technologies have made a real revolution in the training methods of future teachers, they are still at the stage of development and require significant investment and large-scale adaptation. The conclusions indicate that virtual and augmented reality represent a significant potential for improving the educational process through the creation of interactive and exciting environments that contribute to increasing the motivation of students of pedagogical education. In order to achieve maximum results, it is necessary to overcome existing barriers, in particular, in terms of technical readiness, financial costs and methodical support.
