The article reveals the essence of the concept of professional competence and emphasises the importance of its formation in future road transport specialists. The specifics of this process in the context of informatisation of vocational education are described.
The article considers the methodological and content aspects of applying an interdisciplinary educational project in the professional training of future qualified workers in the road transport industry. It is substantiated that the implementation of projects involves setting search tasks that are interesting for students, group learning activities, teacher consultations, joint presentation of results and feedback.
