Abstract

The article examines the issue of training future social workers to use information and communication technologies (ICT) in their professional activities. In the context of the rapid development of the information society and the increasing role of digital technologies in all spheres of life, it is especially important to ensure the competence of social workers in the field of ICT.

The article considers modern methods and means of teaching that contribute to the formation of ICT competencies in students of social specialties. This includes the use of interactive learning platforms, simulation programs, online courses and other innovative methods that allow students not only to gain theoretical knowledge but also to apply it in real-life situations.

The article analyzes the main challenges faced by educational institutions in the process of integrating ICT into curricula. One of the main challenges is the lack of material and technical resources, including the lack of modern equipment and software.

Special attention is paid to the development of training courses and programs aimed at the practical application of ICTs in the professional activities of social workers. Such courses should include not only general knowledge about ICTs, but also specialized skills necessary for work in various areas of social work.

The article presents the results of studies confirming the effectiveness of ICT in the process of training and professional development of social workers. In particular, research shows that students with a high level of ICT competencies demonstrate better academic performance and feel more confident during their internships. They also show a greater willingness to innovate and use technology more effectively in their work.

The study also identified promising areas for further research in this area. In particular, it is promising to study the impact of various ICT training methods on the effectiveness of social workers' professional activities, as well as the development of new tools and technologies to support their work. Another important topic is the study of the impact of digitalization on the quality of social services and client satisfaction.
