The purpose of this study is to determine the key stages of the development of professional French language courses (Français sur Objectifs Spécifiques – FOS) for representatives of various professions who are integrated into a French-speaking environment. The study focuses on how exactly FOS can contribute to the development of students' professional competence and ensure the effective integration of displaced persons into the professional spheres of France. Special attention is paid to the conceptual foundations of FOS, such as the analysis of professional needs, the development of educational materials and the creation of didactic solutions for language teaching in conditions of urgent need. Research methods included a review of modern publications and scientific works in the field of teaching foreign languages in a professional direction, analysis of existing FOS courses and their adaptation for teaching in conditions of urgent need. In addition, an analysis of students' needs was carried out, which made it possible to identify the main linguistic and communicative competences that must be formed during language learning for professional use. A method of a systematic approach to the creation of training programs was also used, covering the process from the initial analysis to the stage of evaluating the results. The results of the study showed that FOS courses should be based on a clear analysis of the professional situations in which students will use the language and should include elements of intercultural communication to ensure effective integration into the French-speaking environment. A number of methodological recommendations for teachers regarding the development of educational materials that meet the professional needs of students have been formulated. It has also been found that the integration of practical tasks that simulate real professional situations is an important element of successful FOS teaching. The findings of the study emphasize the importance of aligning the theoretical and practical aspects of FOS. The proposed didactic solutions can help representatives of various professions to adapt more quickly to the linguistic and cultural environment of France. At the same time, it was found that there is a need for further study of the specific requirements for teaching FOS for different professions and the development of interactive tools that will contribute to improving the quality of the educational process.
