Information technologies as a tool for studying bioorganic and biological chemistry in medical institutions

The concept of information and communication technologies and their significance in contemporary education has fundamentally changed. Various tools and internet resources are used daily by researchers across different fields and by learners. Information technologies help to expand and improve the possibilities of scientific and educational processes, ensuring the comprehensive development of specialists in various fields and forming connections between different specializations. This article explores the role of information technologies as a crucial tool for studying bioorganic and biological chemistry in medical institutions. The article examines various digital resources and online platforms, such as virtual laboratories like ChemCollective and Labster, interactive 3D models of the human body like BioDigital Human, simulation programs, online courses on platforms such as Coursera, EdX, Khan Academy Medicine, as well as specialized resources like Lecturio Medical Education, Medscape, and UpToDate. These tools contribute to a deeper understanding of complex biochemical processes by students and develop critical thinking skills. The article demonstrates how the use of information technologies enhances the quality of education, as students have the opportunity to gain practical experience in conditions closely resembling real ones. The key advantages of applying digital technologies and information resources in the educational process are identified, specifically: accessibility, interactivity, and the ability to adapt learning materials to the individual needs of each student. The article also discusses the challenges and prospects of integrating modern digital solutions into the curricula of medical institutions. To achieve the goals of our work, a detailed analysis of contemporary scientific literature was conducted, and key directions were analyzed, including publications in specialized pedagogical journals and publications included in scientometric databases such as "Scopus," "Web of Science," and "Google Scholar," regarding the prospects for the implementation and use of information technologies in higher medical education institutions.
