Abstract

Language education goes beyond standard education; it is aimed at a deep understanding of human nature, society and culture. The ability to communicate in various situations in compliance with established norms is one of the most important social requirements for future medical specialists. Despite the fact that the majority of foreign students studying at the Poltava State Medical University are English-language students, knowledge of the Ukrainian language, namely the scientific style of speech, remains extremely important. This article describes the experience of teaching foreign students of medical education to the scientific style of speech. The systematic influence of the scientific text contributes to a more effective and completes understanding of the educational material, as well as the formation of knowledge important for the practical professional activity of the future specialist. The purpose of the work is to study the practice of teaching the Ukrainian language as a foreign professional direction, to justify the feasibility of using professionally oriented texts for the formation of communicative competences of foreign students of medical education. The authors presented their own experience of teaching the topic "Bronchitis is a respiratory disease". The following methods of scientific research were used in the research: analysis of current sources on the topic of research, study of the experience of scientists-pedagogues in teaching professional speech, implementation of selected approaches and methods in practice. The results of the analysis indicate that the development of language training of foreign students of higher education requires improvement of teaching methods. The study demonstrates the teaching of the Ukrainian language as a foreign professional direction and proves the necessity of working with texts throughout the entire period of training of foreign learners in the Ukrainian language as a foreign professional direction. The authors prove that work based on texts in the process of language training contributes to the professional development of foreign students of education, the development of independence in the search for scientific information, the practical application of elements of generalization, synthesis, analysis, as well as the development of creative abilities of foreign students.

Conclusion - the professional direction of language training of foreign education seekers is a guarantee of the realization of their educational and professional communicative needs through the means of the Ukrainian language, forms a sustainable motivation to master the Ukrainian language. Scientific texts serve as a means of studying the future specialty. It is important to carry out complex work on the text by specialty, because it contributes to the formation of language and professional competence in a foreign student of education, a deeper assimilation of educational material in special subjects, increases the efficiency of its assimilation, forms the need for reading special literature. The proposed approach to the study of the topic "Bronchitis is a respiratory disease" ensures the formation of a professional component of foreign language competence and allows you to effectively organize the educational process in academic groups of foreign students studying in medical educational programs.
