Abstract

The relevance of this research is determined by the need to modernize educational programs for physical education specialists in Ukraine. Rapid changes in the requirements for professional training, digitalization of the educational process, and the increasing role of interactive technologies create new challenges for the preparation of future teachers. The education system must address these trends to effectively train professionals capable of meeting modern demands and implementing innovative teaching methods. The aim of this study is to develop scientifically grounded recommendations for improving educational programs in physical education within higher education institutions in Ukraine. Particular emphasis is placed on optimizing the balance between theoretical knowledge and practical skills, as well as integrating innovative pedagogical methods. The research methods include an analysis of theoretical sources and existing methodologies for training physical education teachers, which allowed for the systematization of current problems and the identification of possible solutions. The results of the study indicate the need to expand the use of digital tools in the educational process and to adopt interactive teaching methods to enhance practical competencies. It was found that flexible learning formats and multimedia technologies will contribute to a deeper understanding of material and the development of professional skills. It is recommended to implement flexible educational programs with a modular structure, allowing for the adaptation of learning to the individual needs of students. Additionally, strengthening the interactive component of education through the use of multimedia platforms and simulation technologies will improve practical training. The pedagogical practice component should also be revised to become more systematized and focused on developing professional competencies. In conclusion, the modernization of educational programs through the implementation of innovative approaches will enhance the quality of physical education teacher training and their readiness to face modern challenges.
