Abstract

The purpose of the article was to justify the need to implement special programs to strengthen the mental health of teachers in the postgraduate education system. To achieve the goal, the method of scientific literature analysis was used, which made it possible to investigate modern approaches to the problem of teachers’ mental health, the method of comparison and generalization. The results of the study revealed that mental health is a basic component of the general well-being of an individual and society as a whole. It affects not only individual productivity, but also the quality of social relations, collective cohesion and resilience to the challenges of the modern world. Mental health is the basis of the professional readiness of teaching staff to perform their duties. Online platforms such as dedicated websites, YouTube channels and library resources are actively used to raise awareness about mental health in the educational environment. Modern pedagogical activity is saturated with numerous stressful situations, therefore one of the key aspects of a teacher’s professional development is the formation of a high level of emotional stability. Institutions of postgraduate education play a key role in the development of emotional stability of teachers, contributing to their ability to effectively cope with stressful factors of professional activity. These institutes help teachers to develop internal resources to effectively cope with stress while maintaining a high level of motivation and professional responsibility. The practical implementation of the ideas of preserving and supporting the mental health of teaching staff is the development and implementation by educational institutions of various training programs and courses. An example of one of the educational programs aimed at improving the qualifications of pedagogical workers in the field of mental health was analyzed. The conclusionsstate that teachers, as participants in the educational process, need emotional comfort, security and support to preserve their own mental health. Postgraduate education programs aimed at developing the skills of emotional stability and self-regulation will contribute to the creation of such an environment.
