The rapid development of virtual reality (VR) and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies has opened up innovative opportunities in various fields of education, particularly in art education. These technologies can significantly enhance the process of developing digital literacy among students by providing them with the necessary skills to successfully navigate the digital world, which is driven by modern technologies. The purpose of this article is to analyze the impact of the synergy between virtual reality and artificial intelligence on the formation of digital literacy among students in art education programs. Methods: analysis of scientific literature, generalization, systematization, comparison. The research results indicate that the integration of virtual reality and artificial intelligence into art education substantially improves the digital literacy levels of students. The immersive nature of virtual reality allows students to engage more deeply with digital tools, while AI-based applications provide personalized learning processes, fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Students have a greater ability to apply digital concepts in creative processes, indicating that these technologies not only enhance technical competence but also promote innovation in art creation. Together, VR and AI create a synergistic educational experience that is both engaging and adaptive, equipping students with essential digital skills. Conclusions. Thus, the integration of virtual reality and artificial intelligence technologies in art education opens new possibilities for the development of digital literacy among students. These tools contribute to creating a more interactive and engaging learning environment, where students can experiment with new media, refine their technical skills, and develop a critical understanding of digital ecosystems. Given that digital literacy is becoming increasingly important in both educational and professional contexts, it is crucial for art education programs to continue exploring and implementing these technologies to prepare students for the future.
