Abstract

The article is devoted to analysing the implementation of motivational technologies in the educational process of higher medical education in modern Ukraine. The main factors influencing academic performance, including innovative approaches to stimulating cognitive activity, interactive teaching methods, maintaining emotional stability and adaptation to stressful conditions, are investigated. Considerable attention is paid to the practical application of modern tools, such as simulation training, interactive learning modules and gamified tasks. The results of studies confirming the positive impact of integrating these approaches on improving academic performance are presented. The article offers recommendations for higher medical(pharmaceutical) education institutions to improve educational programmes to meet the needs of the current generation of students.

The purpose of the study is to analyse the effectiveness of introducing motivational technologies as a means of improving the academic performance of higher medical (pharmaceutical) education students.

Methods. To determine current approaches to increasing motivation in the educational process, the theoretical analysis of literature sources published in the PubMed database for 2019-2024 was used.

Results. It has been found that using motivational technologies helps increase students' interest in learning, improves the learning of complex material, and develops professional skills. In particular, simulation training helps improve learning outcomes, and the introduction of digital platforms provides access to interactive content, creating conditions for forming a sustainable interest in the learning process and increasing adaptability.

Conclusions. Motivational technologies are an effective tool for improving the academic performance of medical (pharmaceutical) students in higher education. Their integration contributes not only to acquiring theoretical knowledge but also to developing critical thinking, practical skills and professional responsibility. Using interactive methods, simulation training, and digital platforms creates a deep interest in learning, stimulates independent activity, and increases students' engagement. The results can be used to improve educational programmes, create individualised approaches, and improve the quality of medical education in the context of modern socio-economic challenges and the transformational development of Ukraine caused by the consequences of war and crisis.
