The article aims to identify the most effective methods and tools for integrating media literacy into the educational process of higher education institutions in Ukraine. To achieve this, the research utilized methods such as analyzing scientific sources, synthesizing data, comparing, and generalizing findings. The study results highlight that media literacy encompasses the ability to use information and communication technologies, communicate via media, and critically assess various information sources. It combines three interconnected areas of competence: information literacy, digital literacy, and media literacy. Developing media literacy among students is a crucial challenge, especially in today’s context. The adoption of innovative technologies is essential for improving the effectiveness of higher education as a whole, as they enhance educational planning, provide access to diverse resources, and foster the development of vital skills. Digital tools, such as Moodle, Classroom, Zoom, and Class Dojo platforms, facilitate effective distance learning in Ukrainian higher education institutions by offering easy access to materials and promoting convenient communication between all participants in the educational process. The infographic format is examined as a powerful visual tool that aids in the perception and understanding of information, ideas, and concepts. Both the analysis of finished infographics and the process of creating them help students develop key competencies necessary for successful navigation in the modern media landscape. The most popular online platforms for enhancing media literacy are reviewed, each providing skills for critically assessing information and protecting against manipulation. Artificial intelligence plays a vital role in fostering media literacy in the modern digital world. The conclusions emphasize that media literacy is a fundamental competency required for successful personal and professional development. Digital platforms serve as a powerful tool for developing essential media literacy skills, including the ability to analyze, critically evaluate, and create media content.
