Abstract

The article explores the issue of preserving the health of elementary school students, particularly during mathematics classes. Preserving children's health during mathematics lessons is a crucial task for ensuring their holistic development. Organizing lessons in a way that avoids excessive physical and mental strain plays a key role in creating a favorable learning environment. The paper presents key aspects that can help maintain children's health during lessons in primary school, especially during mathematics classes. These aspects include the proper organization of the educational space, including ergonomic furniture and the systematic change of a child's seating position; creating adequate lighting that considers natural and artificial light to preserve eye comfort. Another aspect involves rational time allocation and lesson planning, taking into account the age-specific characteristics of students; protecting the eyes from fatigue, including visual exercises and their combination with mathematical tasks. The article emphasizes the importance of regular breaks to prevent exhaustion and the use of interactive methods to conduct engaging mathematics lessons. Some aspects include creating a positive atmosphere in the classroom, promoting physical development, and addressing individual student needs. Familiarity with and the cultivation of a culture of healthy eating, as well as teaching stress prevention skills, are significant aspects. Overall, the article underscores an integrated approach to health in mathematics lessons, promoting the complete and harmonious development of students. The preparation of future teachers for the implementation of health-preserving technologies is a mandatory aspect that will safeguard the health of future generations.
