Project activity in professional education institutions

Abstract

The aim of the article is to scientifically substantiate the importance of implementing project-based activities in vocational education institutions as an innovative approach for developing students' personal and professional competencies, enhancing their competitiveness and social adaptability in contemporary conditions.

The study employs methods of analysis of scientific and pedagogical literature, synthesis of theoretical concepts, and comparative analysis to examine international experience in applying project-based activities in vocational education. A systematic approach is used to analyze the structural stages of implementing project-based learning and the specifics of its realization in Ukrainian vocational education institutions.

It has been found that project-based activities enable the integration of knowledge from various disciplines, fostering critical thinking, creativity, communication skills, and teamwork abilities. The key stages of project implementation are identified: preparation, execution, public presentation of results, and evaluation. The significant role of educators in coordinating and supporting students throughout all stages of the project is emphasized. The importance of adapting project-based activities to the individual characteristics of students and the specifics of educational disciplines is highlighted.

Project-based activities are an effective tool for developing students' professional and personal competencies, increasing their motivation for learning, and enhancing their socialization. The implementation of this approach contributes to the formation of intellectual capital and the preparation of specialists capable of innovative and independent activity. In the context of modern challenges, particularly the wartime conditions in Ukraine, project-based activities in vocational education institutions acquire strategic importance for training qualified personnel and restoring national potential.
