Objective: The study aims to investigate the psychophysiological factors influencing the formation of media literacy competencies in future educators of humanities disciplines. The focus is on cognitive, emotional, and reflective aspects of this process and identifying ways to optimize it within the modern education system.
Methods: A comprehensive approach was employed, including analysis of scientific literature, methods of systematization, and comparison to determine the psychophysiological determinants of media education. Empirical methods such as observation and surveys were used to identify individual student characteristics affecting their ability to acquire media literacy skills.
Results: The findings revealed that the success of media literacy competency formation significantly depends on cognitive abilities (attention, memory, critical thinking), emotional stability, and the level of reflectivity among future educators. Integrating multimedia technologies into the educational process was shown to enhance students' sensory and cognitive systems. Additionally, developing individualized teaching approaches enables the consideration of each student’s psychophysiological traits.
Conclusions: The formation of media literacy competencies in humanities educators is a complex process requiring the consideration of psychophysiological factors. Developing cognitive skills, emotional resilience, and critical thinking enhances the preparation of educators for working in the modern information society. The proposed strategies include the integration of multimedia technologies, cognitive skill training, and stress-resilience development, allowing for the adaptation of the educational process to meet individual student needs.
