Abstract

The article is devoted to the analysis of the application of artificial intelligence in the educational process to create adaptive learning models that meet the individual needs of each user. The purpose of the study is to identify the main directions of development and implementation of digital technologies in the educational sector using the example of using platforms for adaptive learning. To achieve this goal, methods of analysis, a system-structural approach, comparison, hermeneutics, and description were used. The results of the study indicate that the COVID-19 pandemic and the beginning of a full-scale invasion of Ukraine have become powerful catalysts for the development of digital technologies in education. It was found that artificial intelligence contributes to increasing the efficiency of learning by personalizing the educational process, meeting the individual needs of students, and providing real-time feedback. An analysis of existing educational platforms and systems focused on adaptive learning was carried out, with an emphasis on their ability to improve the quality of the educational process. The conclusions summarize that the integration of artificial intelligence allows for the individualization of the educational process, adapting it to the level of training of each student, which has a positive effect on the effectiveness of teaching in higher education institutions and contributes to the formation of professional competencies. At the same time, a number of challenges associated with the digitalization of education were identified: ethical aspects related to data bias; problems of system compatibility; ensuring cybersecurity and confidentiality; integrating LMS with adaptive systems; ensuring accessibility for all participants in the educational process. Overcoming these challenges is a priority task for ensuring the sustainable development of the education sector.
