Abstract

The relevance of the study is driven by the need to enhance the training efficiency of dental faculty students through the integration of modern simulation methods, which provide a safe environment for the development of practical skills. Simulation-based learning is recognized as a key tool for improving the educational process and ensuring alignment with contemporary professional requirements. The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of modern simulation methods, assess their impact on the development of students’ practical skills, and substantiate recommendations for improving these methods in the context of Ukrainian dental education. The article employs methods of analyzing scientific literature, comparing international experiences, and synthesizing practical data, which ensures the objectivity of the results obtained. The results of the study demonstrate that the primary simulation technologies in Ukrainian dental education include phantom classes, VR technologies, digital platforms, and laser simulators. These methods facilitate the development of basic technical skills and complex clinical manipulations. However, their implementation remains uneven due to a lack of technical resources. The analysis of international experience highlights the necessity of integrating simulation methods as a systematic approach aimed at enhancing the quality of professional training. The conclusions summarize that the creation of national simulation centers, the development of training programs for educators, and the adaptation of curricula to international standards are essential for improving the learning process. Further research may involve evaluating the long-term impact of these technologies, developing new scenarios for simulation-based learning, and utilizing artificial intelligence to personalize the educational process. Thus, simulation-based learning has the potential to significantly improve the level of student training, ensuring their competitiveness on an international level.
