The purpose of the study is to analyze innovative approaches to implementing sustainable development ideas in preschool and primary education. The focus of the study is on the issues of adapting STEM methodologies, using digital technologies, integrating the principles of inclusive education, and developing practical recommendations to ensure the effectiveness of the educational process. Methods: to achieve the purpose, an interdisciplinary approach was used that combines pedagogical and sociological research methods, literature analysis, and empirical methods, including observation and analysis of educational practices. The main attention was paid to the integration of modern digital technologies and STEM methods into preschool and primary education. Results: the study showed that integrating the principles of sustainable development into the educational process allows for the formation of environmental awareness, social responsibility, and critical thinking skills in children. Adapting STEM methodologies contributes to the development of research and creative abilities, and also provides children with access to interactive learning. The use of digital platforms expands the possibilities for monitoring the educational process and creating interactive tasks. At the same time, the development of interdisciplinary tasks provides a more holistic approach to forming children’s understanding of the principles of sustainable development. Conclusions: the study has proven the effectiveness of using innovative approaches in implementing sustainable development ideas. The recommendations developed are aimed at improving the educational process through the integration of thematic games, interdisciplinary projects and STEM methods. However, the study indicates the need for further study of the impact of digital technologies on the formation of sustainable development competencies, as well as the development of special methods to activate the environmental awareness of children. Further research should focus on adapting existing educational tools to the needs of preschool and younger schoolchildren.
