Abstract: The aim of this article is to explore and present innovative approaches to foreign language teaching in institutions of higher education that are in line with the current dynamic changes and to determine their impact on the effectiveness of the learning process. Qualitative and quantitative analyses have been used, including surveys of students and teachers, experimental studies on introducing innovative technologies, and analysing the results of blended learning. The study also assessed personalising learning, developing intercultural communication skills, professional development of teachers and involving students in research. The results of the study show that student engagement and learning efficiency have been significantly improved through the introduction of innovative technologies such as multimedia resources and interactive platforms. Blended learning providing flexibility and adaptability proved to be an effective method. Increased student motivation and results were achieved through personalisation of the learning process. Students were able to interact better in a global environment through the development of intercultural communication skills. Key areas for improvement were identified through the assessment of learning effectiveness. Teaching quality was improved through the professional development of teachers. Students’ academic and professional competences were positively affected by their involvement in research. Thus, an integrated approach to foreign language teaching in higher education institutions, including innovative technologies, blended learning, personalisation, development of intercultural competence, effective assessment, professional development of teachers and active involvement of students in research activities, is effective and relevant to modern needs. This ensures quality education and prepares students for successful careers in the context of globalisation.
