Abstract

The article reveals the peculiarities of the education of citizenship with cadets in vocational training in the process of professional training; it is stated that the strengthening of civic education of the cadets of the military higher education institutions is due to such factors as the aggravation of the international situation, military aggression by the russian Federation, which requires the comprehensive strengthening of the security and defense capabilities of our Motherland, the preparation of the National Guard to skillfully and timely repulse the actions of any aggressor; the importance of the issue of citizenship and patriotism of future military personnel, which occupies one of the first places in the process of training in higher education;   an objective update of modern military-professional activities, educational work with future officers in the Military Academy. The organizational conditions that affect the effectiveness of educating cadets in the civic position in the system of higher military education have been determined: the direction of the educational process and everyday life activities of forming the readiness of cadets to manifest civic feelings; the most complete use of the educational potential of military, special and humanitarian disciplines, active use of methods of persuasion, personal example, discussion; implementation of a comprehensive approach to the formation and manifestation of cadets' civic qualities through the active participation of the permanent staff of the higher education institutions, by including them in various types of professional activities; the ability to consciously solve tasks performed in peacetime and wartime; effective use of moral and psychological factors.       

 Purpose: the article is to reveal the peculiarities of the education of the civic position of military cadets of the military higher education institutions and the revealed role of the mentor officer in this process.

Results and conclusions: that the feature of modern higher military education is to overcome its focus only on acquiring a profession, the main tasks of the higher education institution in the learning process are to creating the conditions for the formation of civic, patriotic, moral, spiritual values of the individual, that is why the main component of the educational process is the civic education of cadets, which involves the formation of the foundations of patriotism, a civic position of responsible attitude towards one's people and the Motherland, pride in its heroic past and present.
