Abstract

The article examines the features of using innovative sports equipment in preparing students with special educational needs for sports and health tourism. The relevance of the study is due to the fact that the use of innovative sports equipment can significantly expand the opportunities for children with special educational needs to participate in sports and health tourism, ensuring their safety and comfort. Also, properly organized tourism helps to get rid of the feeling of one's own inferiority and integrate into society. Therefore, the purpose of the article was to study the essence of sports and health tourism for students with special educational needs and the features of its organization using innovative sports equipment. In the process of the study, methods of analyzing scientific literature, comparing, generalizing and structuring data were used to form conclusions. As a result of the study, the historical aspects of the emergence of inclusive tourism in the world and in Ukraine in particular were initially identified. Further, attention was paid to determining the essence of inclusive tourism. The characteristics of tourists with special needs who can become consumers of inclusive tourism are determined. The essence of the main functions and forms of inclusive tourism is revealed. Attention is focused on the fact that modern approaches to training students with special educational needs in sports and recreation tourism require the introduction of innovative sports equipment. It is found that the use of such approaches contributes to the development of physical and social skills, which are critically important for students with special educational needs. The main types of innovative sports equipment are characterized and the advantages of its use in training students with special educational needs for sports and recreation tourism are determined. It is found that each type of sports and recreation tourism has its own characteristics in training students with various disorders. Accordingly, a characteristic of these features is made. The conclusions indicate that the use of innovative sports equipment is an effective means of preparing students with special educational needs for sports and health tourism, and thanks to an individualized approach and the creation of a safe environment, significant progress can be achieved in the development of the physical and cognitive abilities of children with special educational needs, contributing to their socialization and improving the quality of life.
