Analysis of the experience of forming the musical culture of students at the universities of China

The article determines that musical art traditionally plays a key role in the spiritual, aesthetic, social and political education of Chinese youth, therefore the formation of students' musical culture is an important task for every university in the PRC. In the publication, musical culture is understood as the personal formation of a student, which combines important musical knowledge, skills and abilities, good aesthetic taste, positive emotional and value attitudes towards various types, forms, styles, works of musical art and ensures the ability of a person to perceive and correctly interpret it, readiness to carry out performing activities and creative self-expression. The study found that China has accumulated valuable experience in the formation of students' musical culture, which is of interest to foreign educators. However, no research has been conducted to study and generalize this experience. The purpose of the article is to analyze and generalize the experience of forming students' musical culture in universities in the PRC. The publication uses the methods of surveying teachers and students, observing their activities, comparative analysis, generalization and systematization of the information obtained on the formation of musical culture of students in Chinese universities.
The results of the study determined that the formation of musical culture of students of Chinese universities occurs in various ways, in particular through: involving young people in mastering traditional Chinese musical art; introducing students to European classical and modern music, involving them in performing works by European composers; listening to and performing innovative musical works created by Chinese and foreign authors based on the modification of works of traditional Chinese music for the possibility of performing them on European musical instruments; motivating future specialists to promote traditional and modern Chinese musical art among the artistic population and abroad; encouraging students to participate in various musical events where music is integrated with other types of art.
The conclusions summarize that in the PRC an effective system of formation of musical culture of university students has been created, valuable experience in this direction of work has been accumulated. The presented works are of considerable value for foreign teachers and musicians.
