Methods and methodology for studying works on historical topics: innovative technologies for forming civic and historical consciousness

The purpose of the article is to analyze the methods and methodology of interpreting works on historical topics in the context of strategies for training specialists in the specialty 014 Secondary Education (Ukrainian Language and Literature) and 035 Philology. The main attention is focused on innovative approaches to the formation of civic competencies and historical consciousness of both students and future teachers, who will form it through the means of fiction, which reflects historical events, cultural transformations and social changes.
The results of the study. The article analyzes traditional and modern methods of studying literary texts from the perspective of interactive and multimedia technologies, which contribute to a deeper understanding of the historical context of works. Particular attention is paid to the problem of integrating historical knowledge into the process of literary analysis. The authors of the article emphasize that the study of works on historical topics not only enriches students' knowledge about the past, but also contributes to the formation of critical thinking, analytical abilities, as well as skills in working with information sources.
Conclusions. The article outlines practical aspects of using innovative technologies, such as webquests, digital chronicles, virtual excursions, interdisciplinary projects. Their impact on the activation of students' cognitive activity, the formation of their national identity and understanding of historical heritage is considered. In addition, attention is paid to methods of stimulating students' creative self-realization, in particular through writing their own works on historical topics or creating multimedia presentations.
The authors also emphasize the importance of training future teachers to use innovative approaches in pedagogical activities. It is noted that the key element is the formation of methodological flexibility, the ability to adapt educational materials to modern challenges and educational needs. The article proposes conceptual foundations for the development of a methodology for studying works on historical topics, which include an interdisciplinary approach, systematicity, and technological literacy. They are aimed at increasing the effectiveness of the educational process in the specified perspective and developing the competence of teachers of literature.
