Abstract

The article is devoted to a theoretical study of the importance of legal culture for the successful professional activity of future lawyers and determination of its place in the Master of Laws training system. Objective of the article is to highlight the issue of forming the legal culture in the context of Masters of Law professional training. The following theoretical scientific methods were used to study the state of research into the issue of Masters of Law legal culture formation: analysis, synthesis, comparison, and analysis of scientific and pedagogical literature. Results are that the essence of legal culture is defined, and the importance of its formation for the Masters of Law professional training is substantiated. The relationship between the concepts of «legal culture», «legal consciousness» and «legal values» is revealed. It is established that Masters of Law legal culture is formed on the basis of general cultural and professional values of the individual. A scheme of Masters of Law professional training has been developed, in which legal culture, along with professional readiness and professional competence, is a basic component of the Masters of Law training. The involvement of Masters of Law in weekly practical activities within the framework of the legal clinic is investigated. The positive impact of the participation of law majors in the activities of the legal clinic to improve their legal culture, including cooperation with invited practitioners, public authorities, and enterprise departments to provide consulting services to various segments of the population, is proved. Conclusions. The article highlights the importance of legal culture as a basic component of Master of Laws training. The importance of organizing the involvement of future lawyers during their professional training in practical activities with the participation of lawyers to form and improve legal culture is emphasized. The results of the study will contribute to improving Master of Laws training on the basis of an activity-based approach.
