Abstract

The work highlights the need for practical orientation in the training of future graphic designers to design objects using digital technologies to ensure compliance with the modern needs of society, the labor market, and the development of technologies. It is noted that in contemporary studies, a practice-oriented approach is considered a means of orienting the educational process to specific types of actions by introducing real practical tasks, cases, and simulated projects, and as a final product of training. To implement a practice-oriented approach in the training of future graphic designers, a system of graphic design objects has been proposed. The developed system of graphic design objects is based on the division of design objects into groups according to the service segments of the global graphic design sphere: branding, image creation; print and static design services, and digital and interactive design services. The application of the CDIO framework and the principles of universal design as the basis for practice-oriented project activities for mastering the functionality of graphic editors by future graphic designers is proposed. The algorithm for acquiring knowledge, skills, and experience in designing a graphic design object within the framework of studying the educational component and the basic provisions of the activity for solving a practice-oriented task using the example of a graphic design object is summarized. The features of applying a practice-oriented approach are outlined due to the defined goal of training and design; the selection of a graphic editor, graphic design object, characteristics of visual elements, and compositional solution coordinated with the purpose; taking into account industry standards; structured information on working methods, tools, settings, functions, typical errors, and the effective use of automation of repetitive actions and shortcuts when designing design objects using digital technologies.
