This article analyzes the effectiveness of integrating professional educational components taught in English into master’s programs, with the goal of developing English-language competence among future IT specialists. Particular attention is given to the course “UI/UX Design in English”, which aims to enhance both professional and linguistic skills of students, facilitate their adaptation to international environments, and integrate language training with the mastery of professional educational components. The research is based on the analysis of scientific literature, survey results of students enrolled in the master’s degree program “Software Engineering”, and a pedagogical experiment conducted during the delivery of the course. The study employed methods such as surveys, statistical analysis, and pedagogical observation. The student survey revealed a high level of interest and motivation in studying disciplines in English. Specifically, 69% of respondents supported maintaining the course in English, while 81% endorsed the idea of expanding the number of such courses. Furthermore, it was confirmed that English-language instruction fosters intercultural competence, improves access to English-language resources, and enhances graduates’ competitiveness in the global labor market.
Conclusions. The findings of the study indicate that teaching professional educational components in English is an effective approach for preparing future IT specialists. This method not only integrates language learning with the acquisition of professional knowledge but also contributes to the development of soft skills, critical thinking, and the ability to work in an international environment. At the same time, the implementation of such courses requires high-quality methodological support, adapted educational materials, and adequate training for instructors. This opens up new opportunities for modernizing educational programs and ensuring the competitiveness of graduates in the global market.
