Abstract

The article is devoted to the issue of studying the processes of forming safe weapons handling skills and teaching firearms training to students of higher educational institutions. The key components of the educational process that contribute to increasing the level of professional training of future specialists are identified, and recommendations are also developed for improving the methods of teaching firearms training. The following methods were used in the study: analysis and generalization of scientific sources, comparative analysis of educational programs, observation of the educational process, modeling of tactical situations and assessment of the effectiveness of student training in the field of safe weapons handling. The study showed that the formation of safe weapons handling skills has a multi-level structure, which includes motivational, emotional, legal, security and technical components. The effectiveness of the educational process largely depends on a systematic approach, which involves combining theoretical classes with practical training at training grounds, using simulation simulators and modeling real combat situations. The influence of psychological factors on the results of shooting training has been analyzed, in particular the level of stress, which affects the accuracy of shooting, coordination of movements and speed of decision-making. The use of special methods of psychological adaptation allows to reduce the level of fear of using weapons and increase the confidence of future specialists in their actions. It has been proven that comprehensive training, which combines fire, tactical-special and psychological components, is a key element in the formation of highly qualified personnel in the security sector. Recommendations have been developed to improve the methodology of teaching fire training, in particular by integrating interactive educational technologies, increasing the number of practical classes and introducing the latest training tools that simulate real combat conditions. It is proposed to adapt curricula to modern challenges in the field of security and law enforcement, which will increase the level of readiness of students to perform tasks in ensuring law and order.
