Abstract

The article analyzes the sources of formation of modern legal terminology in European discourse. Legal terminology of English is quite diverse and contains many terms that have equivalents in other languages. However, some terms may have different equivalents depending on the context of use and the specifics of the legal field. Therefore, to determine the exact translation of terms, it is necessary to take into account their contextual meaning and use in practice. English has its own peculiarities and nuances that cannot always be accurately reproduced in Ukrainian. Therefore, when translating terms, it is necessary to take into account not only linguistic aspects, but also the legal specifics of terminology. To conduct a terminological analysis, you can use various sources, such as legislative acts, specialized dictionaries and encyclopedias, scientific articles and monographs, legal documents and court decisions. In addition, it is also useful to study the use of terms in real practice, for example, in the texts of contracts, applications, statements of claim and other documents used in the practice of legal activity. Terminological analysis is an important stage in the formation of English-language legal terminology in the context of European integration processes. It allows you to determine the correspondence of Ukrainian and English terms, as well as to study their use and specificity in the legal field. Carrying out terminological analysis is an important stage for the development of legal terminology in the context of European integration. This will allow you to create a single terminology for communication with foreign partners and ensure its clarity and accessibility for all citizens. Cultural aspects play an important role in legal terminology. Each country has its own legal system, based on cultural and historical traditions, and this is reflected in the use of terminology. Therefore, special attention is paid to modern processes of standardization of legal vocabulary in the context of European integration processes, given the high polysemy and synonymy of legal terms.
