Abstract

During the years of Russia's war against Ukraine, the educational process was restructured, including the organization of sports. But these measures did not prevent the deterioration of the state of children's and youth sports. Therefore, there is a need to establish which factors influenced the activities of youth sports schools to a decisive extent. And also to outline ways to improve their activities, including the period of post-war recovery. The purpose of the work is to establish the reasons for changes in the state of children's and youth sports schools in 2022-2024, as well as to identify ways to improve the activities of youth sports schools in the current conditions. Methods and organization of the study. The study was conducted at the Pridneprovsk State Academy of Physical Culture and Sports. The main method of collecting empirical material is an expert survey using a questionnaire. In total, 15 directors of various children's and youth sports schools of the education system of the Dnipropetrovsk region were interviewed to create an expert group.

The results indicate the following. The respondents' answers indicate that the vast majority do not believe that local authorities have reduced their attention to the development of physical culture and sports. Although some respondents have certain doubts, the general trend indicates support for active actions by the authorities in this area. Although it is also obvious that local authorities do not always focus their attention on the development of sports. This may indicate priorities in their activities, where issues of safety and survival come to the fore, leaving the development of sports in second place. However, despite the situation, the importance of physical culture and sports should not be underestimated, as they can become an important tool for uniting the community and maintaining morale.

Conclusions. The state of physical culture and sports in Ukraine in wartime requires a comprehensive approach, which involves not only support from the state, but also the active participation of the community, parents and athletes. Only joint efforts can ensure the future of children's and youth sports and increase its importance in society. It is important to remember that sports can become not only a means of physical development, but also an important element of moral support and community cohesion in times of trial.
