The purpose of the study is to analyze the influence of the type of information provision taking into account the sensory type of personality and exercises on the formation of emotional competence - on the preparation of athletes-swimmers-all-rounders for the element of military pentathlon competitions "swimming 50 m with obstacles". To study the purpose, a number of scientific research methods were used: analysis of literary sources, functional testing, mathematical and statistical analysis. 36 cadets of the 1st year of higher education institutions males, aged 17 - 18 years, participated in the pedagogical experiment. To assess the physiological and functional capabilities of the athletes' body, which changed under the influence of training with the addition of the author's component for 5 months, a control assessment of the athletes' psycho-functional qualities was carried out with statistical analysis and determination of the probability of the obtained data.
Methods of parametric statistics were used to process the obtained data. The significance of the obtained data was checked using the Student's t-test (for n < 100) at a given level of reliability p = 0.95. Calculations were performed using MS Excel and STATISTICA (StatSoft, USA) programs.
Results. The dynamics of changes that occurred in athletes-swimmers-all-rounders in military pentathlon during 5 months of training were established. The role of combining HIIT training (on land and in water) with exercises for the development of emotional competence in reducing the level of reactive anxiety, increasing the time of maintaining a complex visual-motor reaction before and after passing the Cooper stress test in swimming, as well as increasing the level of general stress resistance was determined.
