Abstract

The modernization of professional training for philology teachers in Ukrainian institutions of higher education necessitates the implementation of integrative approaches that synthesize linguistic, literary, pedagogical, and technological components. The relevance of this issue is driven by the increasing complexity of educational tasks, the demand for interdisciplinary knowledge and skills, and the shift toward competence-based learning. Traditional models of education, which often focus on isolated subject areas, are no longer sufficient to fully prepare future educators for the dynamic and multifaceted nature of modern professional activity. The aim of the study is to analyze the impact of the integrative approach on the quality of philology teachers’ professional training, to reveal its potential for strengthening interdisciplinary connections, developing communication and research skills, and ensuring the integration of theoretical and practical components. Methods. The research employs methods of scientific literature analysis, generalization, systematization, and comparison.The results indicate that the integrative approach enhances the adaptability of future philology teachers to current educational challenges by equipping them with the ability to synthesize knowledge from various disciplines and apply it in diverse educational contexts. The analysis shows that an interdisciplinary educational environment, combined with interactive and research-based methods, fosters the development of critical thinking, pedagogical creativity, and digital literacyThe study also identifies key challenges in implementing integration, including outdated curricula, insufficient methodological support, and the need to strengthen interdisciplinary collaboration among instructors.Conclusions. Thus, the transition to an integrative model of professional training is of significant importance for improving the quality of philology teacher education in Ukraine. By employing integrative strategies, institutions of higher education can prepare graduates who are not only well-versed in linguistic and literary theories but are also capable of applying innovative pedagogical methods, enhancing student motivation, and responding to the new demands of modern education.
