Abstract

The active development of digital technologies and the transformation of the modern educational space have significantly influenced approaches to the formation of professional language competence in higher education students. In the context of global integration and the intensification of professional communication, the ability to use language effectively in a professional environment is becoming one of the key competencies of a future specialist. The relevance of this study is determined by the need to find pedagogical tools that not only support language learning but also ensure its integration with professional tasks and contexts. Innovative educational technologies offer considerable opportunities for the individualization of the educational process, the stimulation of cognitive activity, and the development of stable communicative skills necessary for successful professional performance. The aim of the article is to analyze the potential of using innovative educational technologies for the development of professional language competence in higher education students and to outline the pedagogical conditions that ensure the effectiveness of their implementation. Methods: analysis of scientific literature – to review existing scholarly work on the research topic; synthesis – to combine research findings, practices, and approaches from various sources; generalization – to concisely present the processed information; systematization – to structure the research results. Results. The study examines various technological tools, including online courses, mobile applications, and virtual learning environments, in terms of their functionality, didactic value, and relevance for professional language training. Based on an analysis of educational practices in Ukrainian institutions of higher education, the study reveals the positive impact of technological innovations on students’ motivation, autonomy, and communicative flexibility. It has been established that the implementation of these tools is most effective when supported by pedagogical guidance, methodological coherence, adaptation to individual student needs, and the active role of the teacher as a facilitator. Conclusions. Thus, the integration of innovative technologies into language education is not an end in itself but a means of ensuring deeper, professionally and practically oriented mastery of language as a tool of professional communication. This approach contributes to the formation of competitive professionals capable of effective communication in a modern, multilingual, and digitalized professional environment.
