Formation of Linguistic and Communicative Competence of Future Teachers in the Process of Studying the Discipline «Pedagogical Rhetoric»

The article is devoted to the peculiarities of forming the linguistic and communicative competence of future teachers in the process of professional practical training, in particular, the study of the discipline «Pedagogical Rhetoric». This problem is becoming relevant in the context of the renewal of the national education system, the latest social demands and requirements for a teacher of a new formation, his/her ability to carry out his/her professional activity at a high level, in the most communicatively appropriate way, in the mainstream of humanistic pedagogy and practice-oriented approach. The purpose of the article is to reveal the peculiarities of the formation of future teachers' linguistic and communicative competence in the process of studying the discipline «Pedagogical Rhetoric». The article uses the following research methods: theoretical analysis of psychological and pedagogical scientific literature, generalization of own pedagogical experience, and synthesis. The results of the study have shown that in the process of forming the communicative competence of future teachers, it is important to create conditions that ensure its effective development - the development of effective communication skills necessary in professional activities to solve problems of interpersonal, business, pedagogical interaction; promoting active learning - business games, group work, creative tasks, discussions, modeling and analysis of problem situations, etc. The practical significance of the study lies in the fact that its results can be used by students, lecturers, and teachers to improve speech culture, develop communicative competence, further improve curricula, increase the effectiveness of classes in pedagogical rhetoric in higher education institutions, and prepare teaching aids. Conclusions. The ability to master the techniques and means of effective communication is the key to success in future professional activities. In this context, academic disciplines aimed at developing the communication skills of students of pedagogical specialties are of great importance. The course “Pedagogical Rhetoric” contributes to the development of practical skills of interpersonal and business communication, skills of effective communication based on rhetorical laws and rules, and raising the level of students' speech culture. The effectiveness of the formation of communicative competence is also determined by a clear justification of the components of this competence, the structured curriculum of the discipline, and well-chosen teaching methods.
