Abstract

The Chinese music education system faces a number of challenges in preparing future music teachers. These include a shortage of highly qualified personnel, especially in rural areas; the need to improve teaching methods, especially in terms of the use of digital technologies; and the mismatch between the academic knowledge and practical skills of graduating students. Nevertheless, the development of education is a priority to meet the needs of the People's Republic of China. This has led to the creation of unique interdisciplinary educational programmes aimed at training music teachers who are able to organise mass celebrations and events at the level of educational institutions and the country. Graduates of such programmes are more competitive in the labour market. The aim of the article is to identify the content of the school choreography curriculum in the training of future music teachers at Nanchang University (Nanchang, Jiangxi Province) in order to implement the experience of implementing an interdisciplinary programme in the practice of training music teachers at Ukrainian universities.

In the article, the author analyses the place and content of teaching the course ‘School Choreography’ for students of the programme ‘Musicology (Pedagogical Education)’. The programme consists of six topics that complement and interact with each other. The prerequisites and post-requisites of the discipline ‘school choreography’ provide a comprehensive and consistent training of music teachers for professional activities in the field of organising educational and leisure activities of students.

It has been found that in the context of blended learning in China, the online intelligent learning tool Rain Classroom, based on APP technologies for computers and intelligent mobile devices, is actively used.

It has been found that the organisation of educational activities in Chinese universities is aimed at uniting students around a common goal, which promotes cohesion and team building.
