Abstract

The article attempts to explore the possibilities of developing the creative activity of future technology teachers in the process of artistic and labor training in pedagogical institutions of higher education. Creative activity in the educational process is defined as a higher level of cognitive activity of education seekers, characterized by the desire of the individual to overcome the usual rules and norms, since the task is set by the subject of education himself, and the ways of solving it are chosen new, non-standard and original. The essence of creative activity is associated with the “generation of a by-product” in the process of activity, which is a creative result, stands out as something new and unusual. Creative activity assumes the presence of interest in creative activity, motivational orientation, emotional and volitional efforts, and the individual’s readiness to act independently in the process of mastering knowledge. Of particular importance for the development of creative activity of future teachers of technology is the process of artistic and labor training of students, which involves the organized interaction of students with artistic objects, during which they create, learn the aesthetic image of objects of the surrounding reality and carry out their transformations. In the process of artistic and labor training, the basis of the process of developing students' creative activity should be a systematic acquaintance with the main components of artistic creativity at all its stages, the formation of value-meaning attitudes towards creativity as a mechanism for self-realization in students, the development of interest in creative activity, the formation of the need to know oneself as a subject of creativity in various types of artistic and labor activity. Studying by students of a cycle of disciplines of artistic and labor orientation ("Artistic Design", "Technical Creativity of Students", "Decorative and Applied Arts", "Technical Aesthetics", etc.) contributes to the formation of creative thinking, aesthetic perception of reality and practical skills necessary for effective professional and pedagogical activity. Thanks to the integration of theoretical knowledge and practical exercises, artistic and labor training allows students to develop innovative ideas and implement them in material form. The use of project activities, interactive teaching methods and modern technologies creates conditions for the active participation of students in the educational process.
