Today, the picture of the world has changed significantly, which has necessitated the adaptation of future teachers to new socio-economic, industrial and psychological conditions, caused social and economic destabilization of the individual, and destroyed the sense of security of life. That is why future vocational teachers should be prepared to deal with situations of extreme conditions caused by the needs of the labor market, especially in the field of security, and which require psychological readiness, mastering the skills of regulation and self-regulation of behavior through the development and implementation of new innovative solutions.
The purpose of the article is to analyze the current state of professional training of future vocational teachers (occupational safety and health) in higher education institutions (HEIs), to identify the main problems and to determine the prospects for improving this process.
Methods. The choice of research methods is determined by the purpose of the article and the subject of the study, in particular, theoretical methods (analysis, synthesis, generalization, classification), as well as a systematic approach to the analysis of works on the problems of forming the readiness of future vocational teachers for professional activity.
Results. The phenomenon of readiness for professional activity as an integral quality of personality is determined by the nature of professional activity and covers the functional and personal levels. The formation of this complex multicomponent formation occurs in the process of mastering the forms of professional activity and interaction in the learning process; the formation of a feedback system from student to teacher; creating conditions for self-realization and productive professional activity.
Conclusions. The implementation of all components of the future vocational teacher's readiness (occupational safety and health) for professional activity is possible with a systematic approach. The model of readiness formation developed by the author demonstrates the main approaches and ways to solve the problem.
