Abstract

The article is devoted to the analysis of the effectiveness of various learning formats – online, blended, and traditional in higher education under the conditions of the ongoing military conflict in Ukraine since 2022, as well as the study of the role of innovative technologies in enhancing their outcomes. The relevance of the study stems from the need to adapt educational systems to crisis situations, where traditional approaches face limitations due to unstable infrastructure, while digitalization offers new opportunities to ensure accessibility and quality of education. The paper evaluates the impact of such factors as resource availability, student motivation, and teacher preparedness on the effectiveness of each format, and also analyzes the potential of virtual reality and gamification technologies in developing practical competencies.

The methodological foundation of the research includes the systematization of theoretical data, comparative analysis, and synthesis of experience in organizing education during wartime. Special attention is paid to the local context of Ukraine, where power outages and communication disruptions create unique challenges for distance learning. The results indicate that blended learning demonstrates the greatest resilience in crisis conditions when adequate technological support is available, while the online format requires additional solutions to compensate for the lack of infrastructure. Traditional education, although stable in peacetime, proves to be less adaptive to modern realities.

Based on the analysis, recommendations have been developed for integrating innovative technologies into the educational process to improve accessibility and quality of education under unstable conditions. The contribution of the study lies in the development of a theoretically grounded approach to adapting learning formats to crisis situations, which has practical significance for Ukraine and other regions facing similar challenges. The article broadens the scientific understanding of the resilience of educational systems and offers tools for their optimization.
