Abstract

The article presents a comprehensive comparative analysis of bachelor's degree design training models in European, American, and Eastern countries with the aim of identifying effective pedagogical practices and innovative approaches that can be adapted to enhance the professional training system for future graphic designers in Ukraine. The purpose of the article is to conduct a comparative analysis of the experience of bachelor's training in countries with well-developed design education systems and to identify opportunities for its implementation in the professional training process of future graphic design specialists in Ukrainian higher education institutions. Methods. The methodological basis of the study includes theoretical analysis of scientific literature, generalization of international experience in design education, as well as modeling and forecasting trends in the development of design education in Ukraine. Results. The study reveals significant differences and shared tendencies in the professional design education systems of the studied regions. European design institutions are characterized by an interdisciplinary, project-oriented learning model that integrates creativity, critical thinking, ecological and social responsibility. The American model emphasizes innovation, entrepreneurial thinking, technological advancement, and close cooperation with industry. Eastern models combine traditional cultural and aesthetic values with digital practices, placing strong emphasis on discipline, precision, and a high level of technical execution. The research notes that the Ukrainian design education context is gradually integrating global educational standards, modern pedagogical technologies, and interdisciplinary approaches, indicating a shift towards international experience in shaping the professional competence of future specialists. Conclusions. The findings confirm the feasibility of selectively adopting the most effective elements of foreign educational models while considering national specifics and sociocultural factors. This approach will contribute to the modernization of Ukraine's design education system and the formation of competitive, flexible, and culturally aware professionals capable of adapting to the global challenges of the design industry.
