The article is devoted to the analysis of the issue of future practical psychologist’s pedagogical skills development on the basis of a meta-subject approach. The didactic principles of forming the pedagogical competence of future practical psychologists are theoretically substantiated, the means of developing their pedagogical skills on the basis of a meta-disciplinary methodology are determined. The essence of the meta-subject approach as an integration of the content of general and special disciplines in the training of practical psychologists that forms pedagogical competence is characterised, the meta-subject methodology for the formation of pedagogical skills is considered. As a result of the study, the main skills of a practical psychologist (namely, the ability to distinguish the target and activity components of their professional activity, plan activities, analyse the action and the result, reflect on and self-evaluate their own activities, establish cause and effect relationships in professional action) are identified. It has been established that the most effective means of forming the pedagogical skills of a future practical psychologist is pedagogical practice, during which, through the application of a meta-subject approach, pedagogical skills (namely, the abilities to organise an individual pedagogical conversation with all participants in the pedagogical process; to anticipate and eliminate pedagogical conflicts at the level of the pedagogical situation; to analyse the pedagogical situation, formulate a pedagogical task and solve it; to cooperate with teachers, administration, parents; to organise and implement educational projects based on a meta-subject approach as an innovative interactive methodology; characterise the trajectory of individual development of each student; predict the development of each student; demonstrate the use of modern digital technologies in the implementation of a meta-subject course) are formed. The most effective means of forming the pedagogical skills of future practical psychologists are highlighted as well as the main components of the meta-subject teaching methodology, which provides the ability to communicate, research, diagnose, demonstrate didactic skills, are indicated. The approaches to the realisation of the research objectives are summarized in the conclusions of the article.
