The article reveals the essence and content of entrepreneurial competence of a future teacher as a component of their professional training. Entrepreneurship is considered not only as an economic activity aimed at generating profit but also as an important sociocultural and pedagogical phenomenon that significantly influences the formation of personal value orientations, the ability to take initiative, make independent decisions, manage resources, and implement innovations. In this regard, the entrepreneurial competence of a future teacher is viewed as a systemic construct that integrates knowledge, skills, value attitudes, and experience necessary for teaching entrepreneurship-related topics within professional activities, as well as for implementing educational initiatives aimed at developing students’ entrepreneurial potential.
Based on the analysis of literature sources, state educational standards, current curricula, and professional requirements for teachers, the study identifies six core entrepreneurial competencies of a future teacher. These include: understanding the role of entrepreneurship in modern society, knowledge of the legal and economic foundations of entrepreneurial activity, proficiency in financial and economic documentation, ability to perform cost estimation and planning, readiness to organize educational business design and marketing research, and awareness of the professional functions of specialists involved in entrepreneurial activities.
The results of the study can be used in the development of entrepreneurship-oriented academic disciplines in institutions of higher education, the creation of professional training programs for teachers, and in the professional activities of future specialists in general secondary education institutions.
