Methodical aspects of project analysis of architectural-design materials by future teachers of professional education

The article examines the methodology of project analysis of decorative and furnishing materials for architectural and design use, focusing on their physical and mechanical properties, aesthetic characteristics and operational qualities. The program of the educational discipline «Architectural Design Materials Science» is presented, which includes the study of various types of materials to ensure the durability, functionality and aesthetic appeal of architectural solutions.
The purpose of the article is to develop a methodology for project analysis of decorative and furnishing materials for architectural and design applications in the field of design. The study considers the main criteria for the selection of materials, taking into account their physical and mechanical properties, aesthetic characteristics and operational qualities. The methods used include a comprehensive analysis of literary sources, a comparative analysis of materials, as well as an assessment of their compliance with modern design standards.
The results of the study showed that the correct choice of decorative and furnishing materials significantly affects the creation of comfortable conditions in rooms of various purposes. It was found that for office premises, materials that provide thermal comfort and an adequate level of illumination are important, while for medical facilities, materials that meet high sanitary and hygienic standards are needed. The methodology of project analysis, which includes the comparison of quantitative and qualitative indicators of materials with the requirements of a specific environment, allows to ensure the durability and functionality of architectural solutions.
The findings of the study indicate the importance of a scientifically based approach to the selection of materials, which contributes to the development of professional competencies in future designers. In particular, it helps to make informed decisions in choosing materials that meet modern design standards. Further research should focus on innovative materials and technologies, evaluating their environmental safety and energy efficiency, as well as analyzing the economic efficiency of using different materials to make informed decisions in architectural and design projects.
