Abstract

The study examines the development of gender theory in Ukrainian higher pedagogical education and the specifics of this experience. The relevance is confirmed by the fact that the national education system needs significant renewal in this area. They indicate the lack of systematic implementation of the ideology of gender equality and the gender approach. The relevance is confirmed by the fact that the national system of higher education has a powerful scientific and pedagogical potential, prepares specialists who can contribute to the implementation of the principles of gender culture in all spheres of social life, in particular, pedagogical. The purpose of the article is to theoretically clarify the specifics of the formation of gender theory in Ukrainian pedagogical higher education. In the main results, the factors of educational management that contribute to the formation of a gender-sensitive management apparatus are analyzed. Research methods include analysis, synthesis, comparison and generalization. In the results, the negative consequences of the outdated formalized management approach, which violate the rights of gender equality, are considered. The article analyzes the state and prospects for the development of gender studies in Ukrainian higher educational institutions. The present state of gender equality, its influence on the educational process and the prospects of integrating gender approaches into educational programs are analyzed. Based on the analysis of scientific articles, the main characteristics and content of the concepts "gender", "gender culture", "gender approach" were clarified, and gender problems in educational institutions were identified. The importance of professional training of future teachers in higher educational institutions is emphasized. The need for the formation of gender culture among university students based on the concept of gender state policy is revealed. The potential and effectiveness of arming students with additional knowledge on gender issues is emphasized. The conclusions emphasize that in order to ensure successful gender development of Ukrainian institutions of higher education in the future, it is necessary to continue research and analysis of modern scientific approaches to gender education and to ensure constant updating of knowledge and practices in this area.
