The paper examines certain aspects of a comprehensive approach to teaching higher mathematics in higher education institutions. The expediency of using both traditional approaches and the introduction of modern interactive teaching methods is substantiated. This makes it possible not only to reduce the level of mathematical anxiety currently observed among a significant number of students, but also to increase their motivation for learning, stimulate cognitive activity, and develop analytical thinking. It is proposed to apply various forms and methods of presenting material, in particular problem-based and inquiry-based approaches, discussion-based forms of work, interactive tasks, as well as digital educational tools and software for visualizing mathematical objects and processes. Special attention is paid to the role of the teacher in organizing the educational process, creating a supportive learning environment, and maintaining a positive emotional atmosphere in the student audience. A modern teacher is not only a bearer and transmitter of knowledge, but a multifaceted personality and a highly qualified specialist who is able to combine the functions of mentor, organizer, and coordinator of the learning process, making it comfortable, engaging, and motivating for learners. Emphasis is placed on the need to highlight the practical value of the acquired mathematical knowledge and the possibilities of its application in the professional activities of future specialists and in everyday life. Awareness of the practical significance of mathematical knowledge contributes to overcoming learning difficulties, reducing the level of mathematical anxiety, and increasing students’ confidence in their own abilities. It is concluded that a comprehensive approach to teaching higher mathematics allows the educational process to be viewed not only as the acquisition of new knowledge, but also as an important investment in professional development, competence formation, and students’ readiness to solve practical problems in their future activities.Downloads
