Structural and functional model of training future physical education specialists for sports and recreational work with people of the third age

The main purpose of the article is to develop structural and functional model training of future physical education specialists for sports and recreational work with people of the third age. Methods. The analysis of literary sources on peculiarities of training of modern specialists in physical education with the purpose of construction of the author's structural-functional model. Results. The structural-functional model consists of four separate blocks: target (purpose and tasks); methodological (methodological approaches and principles); organizational-activity (pedagogical forms, methods, technologies, means and pedagogical conditions); diagnostic-result (criteria, levels and result). The proposed structural-functional model is an important component of the educational process, scientific methods and principles of organizing student learning. Its orientation is determined by future physical education specialists in the organization of sports and recreation work as the formation of logical skills, activities, individual leadership and techniques in the educational process. Conclusions. The result of the development of the structural-functional model was the readiness of physical education specialists for sports and recreational work with people of the third age.
