Abstract

The article presents the results of the ascertaining and formative stages of the pedagogical experiment on the formation of methodological competence of future officers of physical culture and sports specialists in the process of their professional and pedagogical training during their studies in higher military educational institutions (hereinafter - HMES), as well as the statistical interpretation and analysis of the data obtained. The levels of formation of their methodological competence are determined - low, sufficient, medium or high. The scientific and statistical hypotheses regarding the effectiveness of our pedagogical research are defined. The statistical significance of the obtained experimental results was tested using the Wilcoxon Sign-G and T-test criteria, and the size of the relationships between the components of methodological competence: value-motivational, cognitive, professional-methodological, individual-mental and subjective was determined using the Spearman correlation coefficient. The research was conducted with cadets of the Educational and Research Institute of Physical Culture and Sports and Recreation Technologies of the National Defence University of Ukraine, who are studying in the speciality 017 - Physical Culture and Sports. The purpose of the study is to prove the hypothesis about the effectiveness of the implementation of pedagogical conditions for the formation of methodological competence in the process of professional and pedagogical training of cadets, as well as to determine the statistical significance between the results obtained at the stating and formative stages of the pedagogical experiment. Conclusions. The positive dynamics of the formation of methodological competence of future officers in the course of the experiment was determined. The test of the statistical hypothesis revealed statistically significant differences after the formative stage of the experiment. The scientific assumption that the formation of methodological competence in future officers will be effective if appropriate pedagogical conditions are implemented during their professional and pedagogical training in higher educational institutions is confirmed.
