Training of the Future IT Specialists by Means of Gamification

The aim of the study is to carry out the analysis of the scientific research on the disclosure of directions for the introduction of gamification in the training of the future information technology specialists. To achieve this goal, in the article it is used the theoretical methods: the theoretical analysis of scientific research on the significance and the role of gamification in the educational process; the application of the terminological method gives the opportunity of meaning clarification of the main definitions of the study; systematization of empirical information on the use of digital gamification; the methods of comparative analysis, interpretation and generalization of the facts. Results. It is researched the results of modern psychological and pedagogical science on the use of digital gamification in the educational and scientific activities in the educational institutions. It is carried out the analysis of the definitions of the conceptual and categorical apparatus of this study, namely “gamification”, “digital gamification”. It is considered the directions of implementation of digital gamification in the educational activities in the process of training information technology specialists. It is characterized the possibilities of certain mobile applications in the training of future IT specialists, taking into account their content and characteristics. It is proved the expediency and importance of introducing gamification for the professional training of future IT specialists, which is confirmed by a number of advantages in the implementation of this technology. Conclusions. The use of digital gamification in the professional training of future information technology specialists is necessary in the conditions of the modern educational process and makes it possible to bring the professional training of future IT specialists closer to the real conditions of professional activity, which in turn will increase the level of internal and external motivation of students.
