Specifics of performing independence development in the process of future musical art teachers’ vocal training

The article emphasizes the modern trend in the formation of a musical art teacher’s personality capable of taking real steps towards the revival of spirituality in society, in particular in the youth environment, and states that the means that a musical art teacher possesses are unique. In addition to the knowledge-methodological psychological-pedagogical resource with an emphasis on teaching, graduates of arts faculties perfectly master various performing means in the complex (conducting ensemble-choral work, playing a musical instrument, solo performance), relying on the perfectly studied repertoire acquired during the years of study.
The article analyzes research on the same topic to identify the specifics of performing independence development in the process of future musical art teachers’ vocal training.
Special emphasis is placed on the process of vocal-performing formation of the future musical art teacher – a universalist. The article reveals the need of modern education applicants of arts faculties in Ukrainian universities for professional and personal growth, on the basis of nurturing their own abilities, a developed need for learning new things, and the search for their own professional trajectory in further self-realization.
In the process of scientific search, the interpretation of such key concepts as “independence”, “independent work”, “cognitive independence”, “performing independence” and a number of similar concepts that are relevant to the stated research problem were clarified.
The feasibility of scientific attention to the problem of developing performing independence in the process of future musical art teachers’ vocal training was revealed, the specifics of carrying out educational activities of bachelor’s degree applicants in the class “Voice Performance”, “Vocals” was established.
Key features have been established and the main stages of future musical art teachers’ performing independence development in the process of vocal training were highlighted. In particular, future musical art teachers’ training involves mastering a cycle of performing and practical disciplines, among which significant attention of bachelor’s degree applicants is paid to vocal classes, a favorite type of educational-creative activity that helps to reveal one’s own singing abilities, disclose the seeds of singing talent, improve vocal-performing abilities, participate in festivals, competitions, actively perform as a soloist-vocalist at festive events of faculties, universities, etc. A passionate desire, need, love for vocal culture directs future musical art teachers to reveal their own creative resources as brightly as possible, test performing abilities, and appear in the professional sphere as a universal specialist capable of implementing pedagogical-performing creativity in a school environment. An effective tool in achieving the desired result is the targeted development of students’ performing independence at arts faculties of Ukrainian universities in the process of vocal training. In a scientific sense, the above-mentioned trend of modern school is taken into account – providing wide opportunities for the universal use of the performing resource acquired during the years of study, as well as the ability of graduates to carry out the entire complex of work with their own singing voice independently.
