The article examines the current state of military education in the Republic of Poland, its organizational structure, main directions of development, regulatory and legal support and features of training military specialists. The system of military educational institutions in Poland has been considered, in particular the role of the Military Technical Academy in Warsaw, the Air Force Academy in Dęblin, the Naval Academy in Gdynia and other specialized institutions. An analysis of curricula, educational standards and methods of training cadets in accordance with the requirements of NATO and European defense structures has been carried out.
Particular attention has been paid to the issues of modernization of military education in Poland after joining NATO, the introduction of innovative technologies into the educational process, the use of simulation centers, a cyber training ground and the integration of artificial intelligence into the military training system. The interaction of military education with civilian higher education, international educational exchanges, as well as partnerships with military academies of NATO member states have been studied.
Based on a comparative analysis, the strengths of Polish military education and the possibilities of their adaptation in Ukraine have been identified. Key aspects that can contribute to increasing the effectiveness of training Ukrainian military personnel have been identified, in particular, standardization of programs in accordance with Euro-Atlantic norms, improvement of the material and technical base of military universities, implementation of dual education and expansion of international cooperation.
Recommendations have been proposed for reforming military education in Ukraine, taking into account the experience of Poland, the need to adapt to modern hybrid threats, strengthening the personnel potential of the teaching staff, developing strategic thinking among cadets and improving the system of professional military education for officers.
The results of the study may be useful for scientists, military experts, educational institutions, as well as state bodies dealing with issues of reforming military education in Ukraine in the context of Euro-Atlantic integration.
