Abstract

The article investigates modern innovative methods of teaching swimming to students of higher education institutions, their effectiveness and practical implementation in the educational process. It has been determined that traditional approaches to teaching swimming have certain disadvantages, in particular, insufficient individualization of classes, psychological barriers of beginner students, as well as low involvement in the educational process due to lack of motivation. To solve these problems, the article proposes the use of innovative methods based on a combination of digital technologies, interactive learning tools and adaptive physical training methods. The peculiarities of using video instructions, mobile applications, virtual and augmented reality in the process of teaching swimming are considered. The methodology of using simulators that allow students to visualize the technique of performing swimming strokes and correct their own mistakes before practical immersion in water is proposed. Such technological solutions contribute to better mastery of skills, increase students' confidence and significantly reduce the time required to master the basics of swimming. The article also pays attention to the issues of psychological adaptation of students who have a fear of water or insufficient experience in the aquatic environment. In particular, the methods of gradual immersion in water, the use of special breathing exercises and psychological techniques aimed at overcoming fear and forming a positive attitude to learning to swim are analyzed. It has been proven that such approaches help reduce anxiety and increase the effectiveness of the learning process. Practical experiments conducted as part of the study confirmed that students who were trained using innovative methods showed better results than those who were trained using traditional methods. They mastered swimming techniques faster, had better coordination of movements, controlled their breathing more effectively, and showed a high level of motivation for further training. The conclusions of the study indicate the feasibility of introducing innovative technologies in the process of teaching swimming in higher education institutions. The developed methods can be used to increase the efficiency of classes, optimize the educational process and improve the physical condition of students. Further research can be aimed at expanding the possibilities of using digital technologies in teaching swimming, developing comprehensive adaptive learning programs and evaluating the long-term results of using innovative methods in the system of physical education.
